He saw a saint down with great pain because of profuse bleeding due to dysentery. He cleansed him and placed him on a bed of Banana leaves and nursed him till he was cured. The saint who had thousand gold coins sent Him to buy grocery.
The saint asked Him to prepare food for himself but he had no courtesy to offer food to Neelkanth Varni. Instead he asked Neelkanth Varni to feed Himself by begging from village!
The thankless saint who revealed his name as Sevakram treated Him as a menial slave. On the onward journey Neelkanth Varni had to carry on the burdensome huge bundle of itineraries for miles. He used to walk with rosary in hand!
By nature Neelkanth Varni was compassionate enough to serve the saint who was earlier sick and helpless, but when He realised that Sevakram was outwardly a saint but within himself he was devil-like person, devoid of sense of gratitude. Nilkanth Varni deserted him while he was soundly sleeping after a heavy supper.
